Arts Festival!

What a performance! The K2's danced, sang, spoke, chanted and acted, wowing us all with their creativity and collaboration.

So much learning happened throughout the preparations for Friday's event. Making suggestions and listening to each others' ideas was key throughout the process. The decisions that we made as a group, such as which animals we would choose for the performance, only came about after much discussion and reflection from everyone in our class. Our Arts Festival was the result of the collaboration of so many people in the K2 community...the children most of all.

The performance that you saw on Friday, and the art installation in the pod, was a great opportunity for all of us to come together as a community. Thank you all for coming.

We will find a way to share the video of the performance- thanks for your patience as we sort this out.

Reminders:
- Our class' PE work share will take place on Thursday, 19 May. Please see the preceding blog post with the invitation from Sam, our PE teacher.
- There is no school for students on Friday, 20 May due to a professional development day for teachers.
All K1 and K2 students are now invited to participate in Fresh Fruit Fridays. Each Friday, students are encouraged to bring hard fruits (apples, oranges, mango, papaya, and dragon fruit) to be collected, packed and distributed to Migrant workers from the Fresh Fruit Team. This is completely voluntary. Thank you for your support!
