Play Time!

The haze-free sunny days have meant that the children can go outside again to play. They have had so much fun this week kicking soccer balls, cycling, tagging, dressing up and playing games of all kinds. Here are a few things they've been up to this week:

Children benefit greatly from free, unstructured time to play. They develop their gross motor skills (those that use large muscles and require whole body movement) as well as their social skills. They use their creativity while communicating and collaborating with their peers. Play time gives the children opportunities to self-regulate, self-manage and learn to play by the rules.  It is an important part of the day for everyone in K2.
